The September Newsletter is late. Of course you know that because you are
just now receiving the link to it. The reasons are many, The September newspaper
ad and a few other things. Hopefully we will get on track for October.
One of the reasons for this coming so late, is I wanted to let those who are
in the Gun Lake area know that there was a meeting Wednesday August 27th to
discuss the feasibility of forming a business association for the Gun Lake Area.
We will be having another meeting Wednesday Sept 10th at 6:30 pm.
at the Gun Lake Grind. South side of the lake between Movies in Motion and
Southside Pizza. If
interested, please drop in and voice your opinion - pro or con.
The first meeting went well enough to get together again to at least meet and
talk. Bring your business cards and tell us about your company. I have my own
ideas, but you'll have to attend to hear them. Please join us.
Extra note! Come see us at the Wayland Community
Business Expo 2008. It is presented by the Wayland Area Chamber Of Commerce. It
will be Saturday, October 4th 10:00 AM - 3:00PM Wayland Union Middle
School. There will even be a food court. Stop by and see us. BOXWEBS.

The September full page ad in the Reminder will be the last as far as
OLCNOW SHOPPING GUIDE is concerned. There was little traffic to the site and
those of you who had ads on the site were not using the ability to update each
month. So bye bye shopping guide and hello ads reached by your business listings
on the Community web sites that have been getting traffic.
The top of the Fall full page ad will direct people to the Community web
sites and they will be able to see your ad from there by clicking on the icon
"Advertisement". Same conditions- Buy the full color ad for the newspaper ad and
you'll recieve3 months of a larger ad on the community website located where your
business listing falls. Simpler for you and for those customers looking for you.
You will also be able to place an ad on the business listing without purchasing
the business card ad for the paper. But you'll save money by getting the whole
package. Pricing for just the web will be forth coming, well before the Winter
ad the first of December. Price for the Full page newspaper ad will not change
unless the newspaper increases their prices. Stay tuned and read the next few
newsletters. I am transitioning the ads to the Gun Lake Online site first.
You'll begin to notice the ads from those who participated in the September ad
this time. Although at first it will be more work for me, in the end it will be
better for all of us.
Have some suggestions, feel free to send me an email with your idea.

information to our readers and fellow businesses, but you receive recognition
with your business name and link to your listing. This provides name recognition

join our membership. www.olcnow.com is now
able to accept payments online. Existing members can pay their invoices on line
and new members will be able to purchase membership or sign up for Logo Listings
and Banner/Logo Listings. We will of course continue to accept payments by mail.
If you have a
Banner/Logo Listing with us you receive one free narrow column ad on our home pages in
the right column per each six month listing period. Email or call us about details. Ad
lasts for at least 30days.
This is a free service to all Logo and Logo/Banner
listings. Just write about what your business is all about or what services you
offer. Tell about a new product. You can change your business highlight
any time you need to.

Remember you can place a coupon on OLCNOW Shopping Guide
for free. Send us a copy of your coupon offer and we will add it to the

 There are many consumers out there that are looking for coupons. If you can,
send us a coupon or content for a coupon to place on the shopping guide.
It's FREE.
If you are not using the OLCNOW SHOPPING GUIDE, you can still send a coupon for
